Here is where I have been for the past 3 weeks...

off and on. Several days in a row.
But- at last...

Teyler started his day of classes at CSU Monday, August 15, 2011.
He was a little apprehensive. I really get that. It is nerve racking
to start something new.
Especially when you are so use to how things use to be...
CCS and the routine you were excited to leave~~but now
it looks comforting.

He did well!
Once we got the financial issues squared away... his schedule corrected and at this point
most of his books purchased... So- HERE WE GO!
COLLEGE for my oldest boy!
HOW CAN I BE SAYING THAT?!?!

Where did this kid go?

And where did these days go?!?
:( I guess this is the exact meaning of bittersweet!?!?!?!

Talk about bittersweet?
Look at Mallory all proud of her little egg for Health Class....
My sweet little great niece.

And Hayden is so proud... What would he be?
Let's see... Mal and Hayden are 2nd cousins...
so their kids will be ??? I will have to research that!

Ohh yes!!
Great news on the Avery front!!!

He made a 93 on his spelling test last week...
A 100 on a verb test!!
OHH WE ARE SO PROUD!

August 1st is Meet and Greet Teacher Day

Friday- August 5, 2011

Concert #2- Get Closer Tour
@ Gwinnett Center
We were getting a little delirious waiting for Mr. Urban to take
the stage... But- finally...
Our wait was over.

and he never disappoints!

He finally found us in the crowd... and gave us that adorable
smirk and smile... :P

then... the level of 'hot' began to rise in the arena.
He was truly amazing.
His band... the crew...
everything is top notch and literally an event you never forget!

His music is straight from the heart.
We had a great time. We did have a few odd peeps around though.
2 guys together in their 30's... downin' big daddy beers and
chit chattin' with us... they were singing along(horribly I might add) and then
they were offering a flask of Jack Daniels... ohh my. odd!
then..
this man behind us (from Po-Dunkville obviously...) was drinking and every time
he had a beer another button of his shirt came un-done.
It was odd.
He had strange tats on his chest and beer belly.
oh- wow...
we are scarred!

Despite the distractions... We had a blast.
He came out into the crowd- and YES!
we were able to touch his shoulder and arm.
oh- my...

What a great 2 nights. It is really a double edge sword...
Once you go see him the more you feel you have to see him.

Thanks Keith for 2 wonderful performances.

back to reality.

we made it through the first week back 2 school...

Sweet little Snoopy... In his chair-
Mason always says Snoopy is just so humble.
Isn't that sweet...? He really is!

Aww... a tour of our old neighborhood growing up in Forest Park.
Last week as part of our end of summer tribute...
I took the crew on a tour around Forest Park and visited the place
we grew up.
uhhh- the kids were not very impressed...
It brought back a LOT of memories for me though.

We met Grandmomma at Frontera for lunch one day.
That was fun! :D

We also did our end of summer visit to Steak n Shake on
Monday- the day before school started.
Ohh- what memories!
I love these kids so stinkin' much!

Guess where I will be tonight?
Yes- YES! and YES!
Visiting Mr. Keith Urban at the Gwinnett Center for 1 of 2 nights with him.
I am headed to have my ear checked ONE more time...
hopefully she can clear it out so I can ACTUALLY HEAR the concert!

SILLY...

and MORE SILLY!!!

I am in a need for silliness... actually it is probably a medical condition
that requires a doctor prescription...
After so much money stress this summer and junk going on---
I am drained.
exhausted mentally... and emotionally.

THEN!!!
the summer had to go and be over---
the kids HAD to go back to the routine of school... bedtimes...

wake up alarms and HOMEWORK!

here is to hoping that I find something silly today... :D

The first day at school went well for the boys...
I picked up Mal and Mason with Hayden & Avery and we went to
Sam's Club for a cheap after school snack!

Rushed home for my return piano student Anoush.
Then...
the trouble ensued.
Avery was unclear on his agenda... RenWeb didn't seem to match his
written agenda info...
He was tired-
he wanted to play Skate 4 live with Mason over the phone!!!
It was just a jumbled mess after my student left.

Then- Hayden needed binders which Target was completely out of.
:( :*( :[
by the time I got them in the bed I just really wanted to sit and cry the night away...
exactly what I KNEW was going to happen once the bell rang again.
it spells STRESS! endless amounts that do not end...

so--- I will have to find ways to push through it all.
