a busy-hectic week for us.
projects, mid-terms, tears and fits

Hayden had a Latin Project this week- which required a paper, a speech and a real recipe...
So- in Hayden fashion... we wait until Wednesday to tell me of these ins and outs..
I knew I could make him so home-made salsa...fun!
THEN- he asked, "umm do you think you could make some home-made chips???"
uhh... NO Hayden... A bag from the store will work just fine...
Then- last night around 7pm he says... "Do you have a mexican pancho and hat that I could wear on Friday for my speech?"
uhh-
nooooo?
"Do you NEED it for your speech?"
Hayden said- " No, but I want it..."
ohh- well...
couldn't produce that for him- but I am sure he will do fine on his speech...
Avery had a really rough week with attitude and fits...
it did get a little better towards the end of the week, but that can turn on a dime as we all know!

Teyler also had a project- but hey! He didn't need any assistance from except the purchasing of a piece of poster board. I can live with that!

The pups are snoozing and I best get busy.
The church shower is for Becky this weekend- so I have lots to do.

He isn't fond of my picture obsession...
ohh- well!
It doesn't cause me to lose sleep or put my camera away.
So- he must endure and get over it!
He will thank me one day.

Last night Hayden was working on a research paper for history. All of a sudden he asked Tre' when he was going back to Gold's Gym again. Tre' has just recently frozen his account because getting to the gym with his schedule has been tough.
So he told Hayden he was working out here at home for a while... and well- why do you want to know?
Hayden said, "I just was wanting to go with you to Gold's. I was wanting to try to get healthy and lose some weight."
ohh-at last!
He wants to!
HE WANTS TO!
that is the battle right there....
we have WANT change...
we have to results.
Once we get to that point- something starts happening.

I worry about Hayden so much. I worry that he will have serious health issues if he doesn't change his choices. The good news is- if he just tries a little and cuts out soda and fries!!!!
He will drop weight so fast!( guys are just like that!)
He can do it! I know he can... the motivation is all up to him.
I am thankful that he is sees he needs to do something. ( don't we all!)

I just watched 2 episodes of Jamie Oliver Food Revolution on ABC.(hulu.com)
I have been wanting to see this show, but there just hasn't been time... thanks hulu for giving me the chance to watch it!
I will get caught up on it this weekend and jump in on the series next week.
It is so sad to see how we are killing our kids. We are offering them junk and trash to feed their bodies. We have to do something!
Well- after Hayden saying that last night... and then seeing this show it has certainly made me more aware of what I need to do to put my foot down--- we must make changes in our choices!!
I am on a mission right along side J.O.

Thank you Lord for giving Hayden the desire! Please help me and Tre' show him the right things to do. I am weak Lord- but through your guidance and love we can help him get healthier.

I did later find out- that Hayden told Tre' there was a girl that he thinks is cute at school...
and he wants to lose weight so he can talk to her.
Well..... :-O
if it takes being crazy about a girl to help him lose weight...
that is fine by me!

btw- it is friday...
busy weekend ahead!
High School Drama this weekend. Tre' has SCO performance... The Run of the Mill 5k at Truett's for the James Michael Everett scholarship fund... Monica's 50th bday celebration too!!

Our sweet puppy!!

He has changed so much the past few weeks.
He such a wonderful little pup.
He plays and plays with Snoopy. He is great with the kids and just makes us all smile and laugh til we cry.
I am so happy that we have him.
It all worked out so wonderfully.

Before his 'real' puppy haircut April 13th...

Dunkin' is usually waiting for me in the bathroom after I get out of the shower...
he likes to take a little nap in the closet and then he is ready to lick my toes when I get out.
:] heehee... that tickles!

During piano lessons Dunkin' found my lovely Vera Bradley bag to take a nap on... How cute is that? Look at his little puppy paws... Adorable!

Here he is after his haircut with Bree and Pet Kingdom... He just loves her. When I take him for his bath and grooming he just snuggles with her. SO PRECIOUS!!!

As soon as the weather started to warm up- we were out on the leash. We have fun on our morning walks... The first day Dunkin' couldn't make it very far, but now- he loves it! The good thing about it all--- Snoopy has lost weight and has such a new perkiness. He enjoys Dunkin' too. They are real buddies!

Here is what I see after he runs and does his potty business. Dunkin' running like a mad man... up the hill. He can book it man!

My boys...
How are they growing up SO fast?
I NEvER imagined I would be meeting with the school counselor about Teyler's SENIOR YEAR of high school...
Graudation!!!
2011!!!!?!?!?!?!?!
What is going on here?

How is he 17?
HOW?!?!?!?
Learning to drive..( which makes me sick to my stomach...)
I don't know how Tre' is doing it. :0

I really have to find a way to deal with this.
Crying and ignoring the fact-
isn't dealing with it.
PRayER!
Constant prayer....
I just want him to know the Lord has a plan for his life.
He is SO smart!
He is SO precious....
I want HIM to see it! I want HIM to feel it!
I want HIM to TRUST! and be open to God's plan!

Hayden... Play away baby!
I love your sense of humor... your love for puppies and all things about animals.
You are a hoot!

It stacks up...
The minutes, the hours, the days---
Before we know it we have made it through the exact days we have dreaded or fretted over.
We pack the days full with high expectations and work that must get done.
The work is good-the feeling of accomplishment and progress is important,
but!
so is being still!
Breathing and being thankful for that breath-
Smiling :)
and being thankful for joy!
Seeing God's creation and knowing I am HIS! and HE is MINE!

Take a minute- maybe more...
and look around or hey, close your eyes!
Either way take it in. Take in the moment.
Feel the arms of the Lord wrap around you. Lean into your heavenly Father's hug.
All of our suffering will be but a faded memory once we are in his presence and in glory.
He is enough-
enough for all of our pain...
for all of our sorrows....
He is all we need for life!
He is our redemption... and our saving grace.
Thank you Lord for reminding me to breathe...
Thank you for giving me clarity and focus.
I can't do this without- and I am tired of trying.
You are all I need.
All I want...
thank you for your gift of life!

FRIDAY! Already?
WOW!
The week went by fast people. JUST flew right past us.

We dreaded the end of Spring Break... getting back into the groove of routine and business...
But-hey!
We made it...

This moment is all we have.
Today-the PRESENT!
Is a present!
a gift...
Toss a ball- enjoy the sunshine, take a walk!
Have lunch with someone you love!
Enjoy today.
Enjoy EVERYDAY!

Right SNOOPY!?!?
LIFE is grand!
and We ARE BLESSED!

I can't believe we made it through the week.
There were a few bumps along the way-
Avery deciding to take a LONG... very long nap on Wednesday afternoon while I was teaching piano lessons... and needless to say that ruined his night TIME sleeping...
He decided to stay up and watch a marathon evening of Nick JR... The Nanny and The Cosby Show... all night.!! I mean ALL NIGHT!
So- when I got up at 6am... he was then ready for bed...
yea... right on Brother!

So- after the drama... the tears and the chaos! HE did go to school. Ohh- wow! Was there chaos!
He made it through the day- and went to bed like a normal person and slept through the night.
He won't do that again!

Hayden and Teyler are doing well-
It is time to look at college stuff for the T-man... how can that be ????
Hayden has done REMARKABLE in 6th grade. I am VERY proud of him. A few issues with missed homework and the common memory lapse on homework and such... but over all...
Exceptional!

Dunkin' got his first REAL haircut this week. He was lookin' pretty hot in all of that hair...
so Bree took him down about half way. Very precious of course!

Tonight I will be teaching for a little while... but then it is homework for this chicken!
I am somewhat behind... but nothing I can't get a hold of tonight!
THEN!
BABY! IT IS THE WEEKEND!

I have plans to make Lemon Blueberry Iced Breakfast Loaf, Homemade Sloppy Joes...
and maybe a homemade pizza dough. Ambitious! :D

Ok.... off to get ready for lunch with AMY J! at Longhorn.

Wednesday
HUMP Day!!!

Notice the unhappiness...?
This has been my feeling about NOT being able to load pics onto FB and my blog...
This RAW data with Lightroom 2 and my new camera have given me fits.
I am a visual learner...
I need LIVE instruction.
I can deal with that... I can be a star student with a little example given!
BUT-
hey...
give me a book and reading what to do isn't my foRTE'!!
but-
at last... I loaded a program Pixillion... and hopefully it will help my RAW/jpeg blues....
at least until a LIVE Photoshop Lightroom 2 dude shows up to help poor pitiful me!!!

I have never been more HAPPY and thrilled to see leaves on the trees.
Spring is here. The weather has been GRAND for over a week...
The pollen- uhhg!
but hey... we have to take a little lemons to make lemonade. So- with the trees and sunshine...
there must be pollen. ( and bees!!!)

And that is ok...

It really is ok-
God is always in control. Spring, winter, Summer and Fall!
I am thankful for that too.
Because I am NOT in control... even though I sometimes think I might be...
nope! not me.

Spring break is over...
My to do list is a little shorter... but NO WHERE near complete.
Thankful to have the floor back in the laundry room!
The clutter and chaos were very overwhelming. I know the kids were not thrilled with the week of house work and cleaning out, but it was necessary!! It is a life lesson!
We have to MAKE TIME to do things on purpose DAILY or they get left behind.
NOW THAT is a lesson for more than one thing in life!
Not just laundry, dishes and clutter, but our relationships with the Lord and with our family.
If we don't make the time to nurture and invest then we have to pay the price down the road.

Who knew I could be so deep and retrospective on this day in April!?!?

I must go walk the doggies!
They are itching to get out in this WONDERFULLY, GORGEOUS!! Fantastic!!! weather!

What a week!
It is already Friday- How can that be?
Whether working or on break it seems Friday rolls around pretty quickly these days...
We have had a wonderful week of sunshine and pollen!
Yesterday at the showers came and washed away some of the yellow stuff.
I will post later a lovely pollen/sludge picture...funky!!!

I have literally been doing laundry since last Friday!
I have made lots of head way too. I actually was able to sweep the laundry room floor!
Now that is a true accomplishment!
I have lots more to do to the bedrooms and kitchen-so I must get crackin'!

I want to do something fun with boys this afternoon- who knows what that might be???
I am sure it will include lunch somewhere! :)

Happy April Fool's Day!!!

What I am really celebrating is....
Temps in the high 70's and SUN-- SHINY-- SUN
Shining on my face!
I am LOVING taking the pups on a walk everyday. Dunkin' is really getting the hang of it..
( btw---- I am having HUGE issues loading pics from my NIKON and Adobe Lightroom2... I will get that fixed soon and add more current pics of everything!)
jeez!!!

AND!!
Snoopy is losing weight from all of the added activity in his day. YEA!!!!

I can't believe Dunkin' has been with us almost a month!
He has fit into our lives so easily and I am very thankful.
He is just precious and amazing! :D

I am SURE we will be calling Monti again someday!

Thankfully Avery has made it to school 3 days in a row. :]
We are just hanging on knowing that spring break start Friday.... and that is a half day event due to Good Friday celebrations!

The pollen is starting up pretty strong the past 3 days or so. My eyes are watering like crazy. I am gonna have to go by CVS on my to the school. I have to pick up Alavert or something to help me. It is quite annoying having your eyes water non-stop!

I am reading a new book by Andy Andrews- The Traveler.
So far it is wonderful. I read The Noticer back in the fall. It was terrific!

I am excited about Easter Weekend-
Services at CBC are going to be amazing! I am suppose to go up and take pics for the Photography Team- so I will be pretty busy throughout the weekend.
The weather will hopefully stay this breath taking too!
Just fabulous!
I am hoping I can find something nice to wear for Easter Sunday too. Me and the clothes thing are just not getting along lately. I can't find anything to fit. bleh! ( but really what else is knew?!?!)

I must be hitting the road and heading off to teach.
Gotta catch up with a few kids before the break starts.
